Dr Fiona Reid has a special interest in diabetes care and works alongside our Practice Nurses – Miss Leanne Petrie, Mrs Julie Sayers, Mrs Lyndsey Simpson and Mrs Sarah Strachan – to provide ongoing support and monitoring for patients living with diabetes.
Regular reviews and monitoring are important in helping you manage your diabetes effectively, maintain good control and reduce the risk of potential complications.
We aim to invite all patients with diabetes for an annual review, usually during their birthday month. These appointments are primarily nurse-led and provide an opportunity to review your diabetes management, discuss any concerns and offer advice and support to help you stay as healthy as possible.
Before your review: You will be asked to attend an appointment with our Healthcare Assistant for a blood test and/or urine test in advance of your diabetes review. This allows us to have the necessary results available for your appointment.
Below you will find a selection of useful patient information leaflets and resources to help you understand and manage your diabetes.
